Because the rules committee disallows award to be won by those for whom it is named:

• Rename the Mita Award for most great Hackfest suggestions from somebody not attending to the "Mita/Mark Award"
• The winner is Mita!

Awards - Kick Out the Jams

The first annual "Kick Out the Jams" Award for outstanding excellence in the area of getting us all off our duffs and working constructively. A quote:

• Wireless down, no one can read the suggestions
  
• A sole voice of reason said "just print them out!"

  • Proposal of "Iowa-style caucuses" for a high 'proposal-to-person' ratio
    
    
• Somebody needs to fix this crazy presentation management system.
  
  
• Maybe next year can be in the conference hotel (and an expecation of laptops) rather than at an offsite location.  I mean, 'maybe'.
